SDRRCS - Software Defined Radio Regenerative Communications Satellite System

Array completed a contract from the European Space Agency (ESA) to develop a platform that forms the core of a Software Defined Radio Regenerative Communications Satellite System (SDRRCS). The platform, a blend of Array’s architecture and the Software Communications Architecture (SCA) Core Framework provided by Communications Research Canada (CRC), makes it ideal for ground station and satellite applications within both the military (JTRS-compliant) and commercial (DVB-S) sectors.

Array’s SDRRCS design allows complete adaptability across different modulation formats, channel equalization, coding, data frame formats and bit rates. It provides the framework to implement a reconfigurable satellite modem.

Array is proud to have played a part in the adoption of SDR in communication satellites.
