DRSER - Development of Real-Time Software for Experimental Radar
Array completed a multi-year project to provide 3D laser scanning and modelling services to support the on-going research activities of the Human Modelling Group at Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Toronto. During this project, Array supplied data acquisition and modelling work leading to accurate 3D models of objects, such as the inside and outside of aircraft, land vehicles, ships and buildings.
During this project, laser scan data of the Cormorant, SeaKing, and Griffon helicopters, as well as the Hercules aircraft, were also accurately processed, modelled and delivered to the client for use in simulations. Also, the integration of digital photogrammetry and 3D laser scanning was proven in a pilot study for potential use in enhanced 3D measurement of small and confined areas.
