3D Laser Scanning

Griffon Cockpit Griffon Cockpit

Array offers advanced 3D laser scanning and modelling services for synthetic environment simulations and other applications. The 3D modelling process Array uses generates precise 3D computer reproductions of real objects, people, and environments. Our modelling process has the potential for wide application in commercial and industrial sectors including computer animation, special effects, forensic sciences, virtual reality systems, human factors engineering, transportation infrastructure, automated inspection and machine vision.

Array's past experience includes completing a multi-year contract to provide laser scanning and 3D modelling services to DRDC-Toronto. We developed detailed and accurate interactive 3D models of several Canadian Forces Aircraft using sophisticated modelling techniques and laser scan data. DRDC-Toronto will use these models in their modelling and simulation activities, including their human factors experiments and studies.

DRDC-Toronto is one of six national research centres in Defence R&D Canada, an agency of Canada's Department of National Defence.
